Strong enough
Warm rich coffee fills mountain air immersed with the coos of doves.
and I wonder…
Does the sound of my voice carry?
 
Light breaks through billions of green polished leaves dancing on branches
and I wonder.
Do I perceive shape or create image from memory?
 
A soft brisk wind awakens the forest floor, leading me forward.
Yet I wonder.
Do my feet know the direction they are meant to walk?
 
Trickling creeks, visas of vineyards, crackling fires and waves all beacon me to move forward.
Yet I wonder.
Can I bear the weight of what I carry as well as that which may be laid before me? And will my steps restore?
 
Brilliant rays rest on pages filled with words
and I remember.
